Fairytale Movie Production

July 6-17

Grades 6-10

For this innovative project, the script will be customized to the cast and take advantage of the unique filming options through Zoom and Flipgrid. In two short weeks, you’ll learn on camera acting techniques, audition, rehearse, create costumes and props, learn choreography and then film your movie...all online. This jam-packed class will be co-directed by Sophie Iribarren and Conservatory Director Stephanie Temple which will allow for more specialized rehearsals and double the fun!

About the play: It’s hard to be a princess...especially when all you wanna do is take a nap. In this adaptation of The Princess and the Pea, a girl must prove her true identity through a series of ridiculous tasks. And when the royal family she meets is desperate to find a match for their unwilling prince, their exhaustive tests only get wilder. Wedding planners, spooky ghosts, dancing trolls and over-zealous castle guards inhabit this whacky story, featuring the “Royal Booty Dance.”
