Important Update: We’re sorry to announce that the remaining performances of Interlude have been cancelled due to an ensemble member testing positive for COVID-19. We regret the early closing of this show, but the safety of our artists, staff and guests are paramount. NCTC is taking all precautions including a thorough re-cleaning of the space and having staff who were in close proximity tested. All ticket holders for the remaining performances will be personally contacted by the NCTC Box Office.

Jesse Howard’s life looks nothing like it used to. Forced by a national pandemic to return to his childhood home in Kansas with his conservative parents, he finds himself standing still for the first time. As Jesse battles his writer’s block in a country that no longer feels like home, his mother struggles to reach out to the son she never really knew. Adapted for the stage from NCTC’s critically-acclaimed audio drama, Interlude is a personal and tender snapshot of one man’s search for connection.

“With a powerful performance by Donald Ray Antoine, Interlude cleverly uses the trope of cleaning boxes of memories left in the basement as a metaphor for accepting the present and moving forward." - Broadway World

“Jan Hunter is a wonderful counterpoint to Jesse's mania. She is calm and centered and delivers a touching performance as Sheila.” - Talkin' Broadway
