He has appeared in four previous NCTC productions: Luc in Waiting for Giovanni, Brandt in The Busy World Is Hushed, Hank Hartley in The Sugar Witch, and Richard Loeb in Thrill Me. Other recent roles include: Leo Frank in Parade and Sheriff Joe Sutter in The Spitfire Grill (Palo Alto Players), Billy Flynn in Chicago (Hillbarn), Cornelius Hackl in Hello Dolly and Tommy Albright in Brigadoon (Diablo Light Opera), Strephon in Iolanthe and Dr. Neville Craven in The Secret Garden (Lamplighters), Eddie Yaeger in Do I Hear a Waltz? (Masquers), and Trevor Graydon III in Thoroughly Modern Millie (Broadway by the Bay).

Coley Grundman (Alvin) The Story of My Life marks Coley’s return to NCTC after an absence of twelve years, having appeared in Side by Side by Sondheim in 2000. Since then, he spent some time performing his solo cabaret act in such historic San Francisco nightclubs as the Purple Onion and the Plush Room, and hosting an open mic for a year at Martuni’s. He also took first place in the Male Professional category at the 2004 California Cabaret Competition. More recently, he performed Tateh in Ragtime with Alameda Civic Light Opera, Ginsborn in Coco with 42nd Street Moon, and Adam/Flip in The Apple Tree at the Masquers Playhouse. Some other favorite roles include the Balladeer in Assassins, Marvin in Falsettos, and Thomas Andrews in Titanic: the Musical.
