The New Conservatory Theatre Center is seeking actors to fill the following roles for their upcoming production of Friends Are Forever by Tom W. Kelly
Friends Are Forever follows three gay couples as they explore friendship, love, fidelity, and infidelity as well as the occasionally awkward repercussions. Friendships between the couples are humorously tested when indiscretions and secrets are unexpectedly exposed. But despite all obstacles, our shared humanity far outweighs our differences. Witty dialogue, likeably eccentric characters, and quick-fire pacing all merge into a provocatively fun-filled evening.
Performs: August 15 - September 21, 2008 | Rehearsals begin: Early July, 2008 | Stipend: TBD
James : Early 40’s, schoolteacher, attractive and yet has self-esteem issues, sensitive soul beneath a thick shell
George : Late 30’s, dating James, has a goatee, a horndog
Steve : Late 20’s, masseur, sincerely supportive, extremely discrete
Bill : Early 30’s, dating Steve, escort and med student, handsome, easy-going with a heart of gold
Mike : Early 50’s, executive, probably bearded, an upfront, cards-on-the-table kind of guy
Roger : Mid 40’s, dating Mike, executive secretary, soft spoken and painfully shy
